Everyone knows there are plenty of options for a cafe conversion on a CB350, but a whole lot of nothing for the later CB400, CM400, 450 and CB450SC Nighthawk. Airtech can lend a hand! Granted, these bikes are a little more difficult to convert because of the frame, but they are readily available at a reasonable price so if you've got one, we can make you some cool parts!

The biggest hurdle was the fuel tank, because of the size of the backbone on these models. Airtech took our most popular CB350 race tank, the Drixton style, and completely redesigned the tunnel to fit over the frame of it's younger brothers.

Many seats will work including the 350 seats shown here, but all will require fabrication of a subframe or modification of the rear half of the frame, to get rid of the "dip" in the frame btween the tank and the shock area. This area needs to be flat to install a seat and get proper alignment of seat and tank.

Short little bubble seat that fits onto the back of the chassis. This seat is fairly short (20" overall) so it works best with one of our cafe tanks below. If you are using the stock tank use the long version of this seat CR3502FL.

Honda CR350 Drixton tank for CB/CM400 450
This is a cool Drixton style road racing tank. It's got nice knee cutouts to grip the tank and it's not as long as the original CR450 tank so you can move around on your seat. It slides onto the rubber bungs on the frame in the front, and the back has a large mounting tab. You will have to fabricate a rear support bracket if the tank is raised above the frame - which is likely because the frames dip in the center.

Please note: Nighthawk 450 with bolt-in front tank mount will have to fabricate rubber puck mounts.

Vintage race belly pan / oil containment -
2-cyl
This universal belly pan was originally designed for the Honda SL350 shown here, fitted with a 2-1 exhaust system. Will fit many small twins with similar exhaust system and can be modified for others. Trimming around exhaust and kickstand is required.
