The Rickman brothers, Don and Derek, started
their career in off-road racing and started building road race
frames in the mid-sixties. Under their 'Metisse' brand name they
built nice double cradle-type, brazed, nickel plated frames that
could be fit with a variety of british engines (ie. Triumph, BSA,
Norton, Velocette).
The two Rickman Avon fairing assemblies pictured here are Richmond
units. These two-piece units split underneath the upper and can
be ordered without the lower, as a half fairing.
The uppers will fit both most bikes, the lowers will not fit
inline fours (too narrow).
